<p class="archive__item-excerpt" itemprop="description"><p>Pencarian kerja di Jepang umumnya dilakukan sebelum wisuda kelulusan. Untuk industri, biasanya proses perburuannya terpusat di satu waktu. Proses resminya dimulai kurang lebih sekitar setahun menjelang kelulusan. Dimulai dari mengikuti sesi pengenalan perusahaan, pengumpulan berkas persyaratan, tes dan serangkaian proses wawancara. Setiap perusahaan sudah mengalokasikan jumlah karyawan baru untuk direkrut setiap tahun, umumnya untuk menggantikan karyawan yang pensiun. Jumlahnya sangat bervariasi, tergantung perusahaannya. Untuk perusahaan besar, jumlah karyawan baru <em>fresh-graduate</em> setiap tahhun bisa mencapai angka ratusan.</p>

<p class="archive__item-excerpt" itemprop="description"><p>Alhamdulillah, pada 22 Januari 2021 yang lalu saya baru saja menyelesaikan sidang ujian kelulusan program pendidikan S3 saya di Tohoku University. Ujian ini menandakan penghujung dari karir saya sebagai mahasiswa di Tohoku University. Total sekitar 8,5 tahun sejak saya pertama kali menjejakkan kaki di kota Sendai, 24 September 2012 lalu. Bukan proses yang singkat. Di masa seperti ini, pikiran saya melayang ke masa-masa menjelang kelulusan S1 dan S2 saya, 5 dan 3 tahun lalu. Dari pengalaman pribadi dan teman-teman sesama mahasiswa di sini, banyak drama lika liku yang bisa terjadi di jenjang pendidikan yang mana saja. Setiap jenjang ada tantangannya masing-masing. Mulai dari <em>homesick</em>, dimarahi professor dosen pembimbing, hingga stress ringan (atau bahkan berat) adalah hal-hal yang cukup lumrah terjadi.</p>

<p class="archive__item-excerpt" itemprop="description"><p>Dalam menempuh pendidikan tinggi, terutama di luar negeri, aspek finansial adalah salah satu hal yang penting. Dukungan finansial minimal dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari: makan dan tempat tinggal. Syukur-syukur kalau ada kelebihan, bisa mengirim ke tanah air untuk keluarga, sedekah, dan memenuhi kebutuhan tersier seperti rekreasi. Dalam memenuhi kebutuhan finansial, ada 2 opsi yang bisa diambil: bekerja paruh waktu (part-time atau arubaito), atau mencari beasiswa, atau bisa juga keduanya dikerjakan secara paralel. Bekerja paruh waktu akan memberi kita pengalaman berharga yang tidak bisa didapatkan di kampus, tapi terkadang mengonsumsi banyak waktu kita sehingga waktu untuk fokus belajar atau penelitian di kampus berkurang. Karena alasan itulah, banyak dari teman-teman memilih untuk mencari beasiswa, dan mengerjakan paruh waktu untuk mendapatkan pengalamannya. Sepanjang perjalanan saya berkuliah di Tohoku University 8 tahun ke belakang, Alhamdulillah saya diberi kesempatan untuk mengalami keduanya, bekerja paruh waktu dan mencari beasiswa. Kali ini, izinkan saya untuk berbagi mengenai proses pencarian beasiswa dan lika-likunya selama berkuliah di Tohoku University ini.</p>

<p class="archive__item-excerpt" itemprop="description"><p>In this course, various projects to solve local problems are introduced. I was responsible for one project, titled <strong>情報科学技術を使った広島観光の魅力分析</strong> or in English it will be <strong>Analyzing local attractions in Hiroshima using information technology</strong>. We use <em>Google Cloud Vision API</em> and <em>Python TF-IDF</em> to analyze and extract features from photos of local attractions in Hiroshima.
